On the Rocks

By Geoffrey Lerner

Infrared cameras are an important tool for observing erupting volcanoes, allowing to volcanologists to see eruptions from a different perspective and collect important data about the temperature of ash, ballistics, and lava. But to work correctly, they must first be calibrated in the lab. In the trailer for the upcoming feature film, CALIBRATION, we document geologists Ben and Kiara conducting a real experiment to make sure their thermal cameras work correctly.
