When geologists study rocks it is like they are reading the rock's diary. We want to find out the secrets locked up inside the rock: how was it rock born, what did it go through during its lifetime, how has the rock changed? This video tells the story of a rock that started life on the sea floor but ended up in the greatest mountain range on earth. It is the story that I have been uncovering during my PhD research at the Open University. And here I am telling it in the Biography of a Mountain.
